Someone explain that LSU/Florida rule

Near the end of the first half, Florida justkicks a FG, there's about : 45 left and Florida kicks off, the ball goes to the left sideline, near out of bounds. The LSU guy catches the ball at the sideline and his right foot lands out of bounds. Penalty for kick out of bounds. The commentators explained the rule a bit, but it didn't make sense to... more »
